BuildForce Canada is a national organization committed to the development of a highly-skilled construction workforce. One of their ongoing programs is the development of online courses. BuildForce Canada’s E-Learning Centre offers a comprehensive catalog of online training courses designed to promote the professional development of individuals working in the Canadian construction and maintenance industry. BuildForce also provides an online library of resources for educators and industry training professionals, including training standards, Essential Skills, and research reports. For BuildForce Canada I worked on the six eLearning courses: “Introduction to Understanding Systemic Racism”, “Construction Industry Ethics”, “Pipeline Construction Safety Training”, “Understanding Our Canadian Model”, “Estimating”, and “Communication, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution”. The courses consist of lessons, animations, PowerPoint presentations, video interviews, quizzes and tests combined using custom HTML.
